Five products to protect your 4wd

After recently purchasing a new 4WD while we were in Queensland we spent a lot of time researching products to help protect our 4WD while we continue to travel around Australia. Here are five products we are so glad we equipped our vehicle with.

Fulcrum Suspension - Best in the business

Our number one priority was ensuring our new vehicle would be capable of carrying our canopy safely especially since we upgraded from a space cab to a dual cab. Meaning more weight would be hanging over the rear axle. Therefore, upgrading our suspension was first on our list. We spoke with the professionals at Fulcrum Suspension and agreed it would be best for us to get a GVM upgrade, upper control arms, steering knuckles, rear airbags and lift kit.

ARB Jindalee- Summit Bullbar and Safari Snorkel

For us touring around Australia without a bullbar is risky business. This is the first accessory to be put onto your new car to protect it when travelling on country roads, driving at dusk and overall reassurance when driving. We also knew with the type of roads we like to explore we wanted to get another safari snorkel put on so we could continue to explore unique places that may require water crossing and allow better air intake to protect the engine.

Gotya Covered Seat Covers - Ultimate seat protecters

Living in and out of our car means your seats take a beating. Good quality seat covers were essential for us to help protect them against dust, salt water and wear and tear… not to mention they are comfy and fit the seats like a glove. Gotya-covered seat covers are made with a durable waterproof canvas which are made in Australia to custome fit a wide range of vehicles.

Custom Offroad Bash Plates- Highest quality

There are many precious things underneath your vehicle, so good quality underbody protection was a no brainer for us!
Custom Offroad are an essential part of every 4x4 set up for Offroad adventures to protect your steering, sump, transmission and transfer case. They are designed to protect the underside of the vehicle from any objects that could cause damage (rocks, sticks, ruts and challenging terrain). Custom Offroad bash plates are Australian-made, with perfect weight, 3mm steel, and easy to install at home.

Solar Screen Australia - Quality window insulation and protection

Having a dual cab we store all our belongings in our car, so having quality solar screens were essential to protecting our valuables from the sun, heat and added privacy. Solar screens make a big difference to the comfort of our travels too, keeping the heat out and warmth in during those colder days and nights. Solarscreen's are made-to-measure insulation screens that fit every shape window perfectly and are manufactured in Australia.

We are incredibly happy with the products we have installed to protect our new vehicle and confident they will last as they are Australian-made by industry leaders. You can find more on these product reviews on our YouTube channel.
